Nichinichi kore koujitsu is a Zen expression often used in context of the Tea Ceremony. It encourages us to understand that every day can be made a good day and that it is up to us to make each day good.
The phrase is composed of the words nichinichi meaning "every day" or "each day". And koujitsu meaning good day (it is literally composed of the kanji for "good" and "day").
The artwork is on a Japanese tanzaku which is white with a gold border and measures 2 1/2" W x 14 1/4" H. This comes in a simple light gray tanzaku holder with a brown border. The tanzaku holder measures 4 1/4" W x 19" H.
