Custom Japanese Scroll (Medium)

We have created scrolls of a school name celebrating the opening of a dojo, we have created scrolls for a family with their name in Japanese and their family motto. Whether a favorite saying or poem we work with you and make the design just right. What would you like to have done?

This is a custom work of art and you would be working directly with Master Japanese Calligrapher Eri Takase. We would give you options for the translation, font, and layout that we would discuss and change to get just the right design. The result will be a unique work of art that suits your taste and style.

How It Works: Provide a description that you would like for the contents of the scroll when the order is placed. Master Takase will then create hand-lettered samples of the translation and layout that are then emailed to you for your feedback. Based on your reply, changes to the design are made and we would continue in this manner until the work is just right. This normally takes two or three iterations and the entire process can be completed in as little as a few days.

The scrolls will be done using a brown silk border. The outside dimension of the scroll is 12 1/4" W x 43" H and the inside writing area for the artwork is 9 " W x 23" H
